Over the past few years, there's been a rise in veganism int he hip hop community. Rapper's like Waka Flocka, YG and more have been open on giving up meat. Most recently, Drake revealed that he's also given up eating meat during his record breaking Fortnite Twitch stream. The rapper's had an interesting relationship with PETA in the past for his connection to Canada Goose. They recently applauded him for his meat-less diet choice but they're still persistently asking him to cut ties with Canada Goose.

In an open letter written by PETA's Ander Bernstein, they've asked Drake to end his partnership between OVO and Canada Goose. Drake's brand and the jacket company have collaborated on several occasions. The organization gave Drake daps for his new lifestyle and even sent him a little basket with vegan friendly food products but, they want him to take it a step further and end his partnership with Canada Goose.

"Since you've made the great, kind, and forward-thinking choice not to eat animals, please, please, please, take one more step: Stop wearing them, and end October's Very Own's partnership with cruel company Canada Goose immediately." They said.

They continued to say that "Canada Goose touts a fake love for the environment yet kills ducks and geese for their down and uses painful steel traps to catch wild coyotes—who pray to make it back in one piece to their families but instead suffer and are killed in horrible ways so that their fur can go around someone's neck. This senseless violence for the sake of a jacket is definitely not part of God's Plan."

It's unsure whether Drake will ultimately cut ties with Canada Goose because of his new diet but we'll see in the future.
