Eminem's pre-holiday release of his latest album, Revival, has catapulted him to the forefront of the hip-hop conversation once again, with fans and detractors alike debating on where this new material ranks in the pantheon of his work. He was also named as one of the headliners at this year's Coachella festival earlier this week, an inclusion that might spark a long-brewing altercation between him and Perfume Genius.

According to Billboard, the Australian solo artist has made his intent to fight Eminem clear on Twitter, seeing as they'll both be on the bill of artist for the world-famous California music and arts extravaganza. "For everyone asking...Yes I plan on fighting Eminem at Coachella," he proclaimed. "I want to joust." While there's no real precedent for rappers settling scores via a joust, there's no denying that Eminem may have a beef to squash when he makes his way to the festival circuit later on this year. Check out the tweet below.

The queer cultural mainstay has been angling for this fight for some time now. In 2014, he took a pointed shot at the emcee by using an image of him in drag as the logo on his "Feminem" shirts that he sold to the public. Perfume Genius later said that he thought the artist was an “asshole” and “boring.”

“Pretty sure I could destroy him with Just a Look," he tweeted towards the end of 2014. "Someone put us in a room together and watch Eminem slowly wither from my witch glance."
