To coincide with the announcement of his upcoming album, LIMBO, New Orleans rapper Pell has shared the LP's lead single, "Cafe du Monde." The new track is produced by TV on the Radio guitarist Dave Sitek, who also has an illustrious career as a producer. Though most of Sitek's credits lie in other genres, he has produced for Wale and Kelis. Sitek discovered Pell after hearing the rapper's highly acclaimed 2014 mixtape, Floating While Dreaming.

Now, Pell will release LIMBO on Sitek's label, Federal Prism, and Sitek will be a primary producer on the project. Going off "Cafe du Monde," Sitek has bestowed a punk rock spirit into Pell's singing and rapping. It's noisier and more abrasive than most hip-hop releases you're likely to hear, but there's an undeniable funk and energy. We'd love to hear what this new material sounds like live.
