Peewee Longway has remained one of the underdog figures in the buzzing Atlanta rap scene. He's respected for sure, but underrated at that, and perhaps part of the reason is simply because we don't see him out here too much. He can go quiet for periods at a time between releases, including with his Blue M&M mixtape series. He makes a return to the fan-favorite series today with the third instalment-- Blue M&M 2 dropped back in 2015, and was hosted by DJ Drama. Although, in between, he has released two Money, Pounds, Ammunition mixtapes.

Peewee first teased Blue M&M 3 back in May, with rumors that there might be collaborations with ScHoolboy Q and Jazze Pha on the newest instalment -- which, although may exist somewhere in the universe, don't appear on the final Blue M&M 3 mixtape (still, he's got other worthy contributors on deck, see the tracklist below). After the short teaser, Peewee went back into hiding, before dropping the single and music video for the definite trap banger "Rerocc" just the other week, which lands at #2 on the mixtape tracklist.

Where the previous two MPA mixtapes flew under the radar for the most part, Blue M&M 3 should not. Peewee comes through with some of his notable ATL counterparts to help spread the word, with contributions from Offset, Quavo, Dun Deal, Cassius Jay and more. Elsewhere, he nabs a high-profile feature from PARTYNEXTDOOR for the record "His Name Cassius." Upon first listen, the mixtape is quality trap, dark, and definitively ATL while avoiding to be overtly 'trendy'-- Peewee is still going hard, a new age Gucci Mane, perhaps.

Will Blue M&M 3 be the mixtape that pushes Peewee over the edge, into a wider view among rap fans? Let us know what you think of the latest release in the comments, and name your favorite song.
