With rumors circulating all across Puerto Rico that Ozuna was being extorted for his role in an intimate video, the Reggaeton star has been forced to address the issue head-on. The intimate video in question depicts a scene that is graphic in nature - of a younger Ozuna engaged in sexual acts with another man. It turns out, the video is actually part of an extortion plot that's been in practice for several years now, with Ozuna committing himself to incremental payouts, just to keep the story under wraps.

Worst of all, Ozuna was reportedly underage when the video was filmed. Ozuna's reps claim the video was edited to cause more harm than predicted, culminating in this point of interruption. Their statement goes a little something like this.

"At the time, we filed a complaint,” reads the statement issued by Ozuna’s label management office, Dimelo VI, in conformance with an interview posted on Tuesday by Ozuna’s own attorney. "Our attorney confirmed yesterday that urban artist Ozuna was extorted through an intimate video filmed when he was a minor. This video was edited with the objective of causing even more harm. At the time (of the extortion plot), we filed a complaint and all the legal measures are being taken, as sending and publishing videos of minors is a state and federal offense."

Reports in the Puerto Rican press indicate that the individual guilty of extorting Ozuna is an openly-gay singer named Kevin Fret. The timing with Ozuna's announcement coincides directly with the news of Kevin Fret's passing. The 24-year-old was shot and killed as he was cruising along on his motorbike, execution style. Ozuna's own manager Vicente Saavedra categorically denies that his client was in any way, shape or form, involved in Fret's killing.
