With their upcoming album Black Rock due out in three weeks time, the legendary Onyx have dropped off the first taste of the project's direction. Lead single "I'ma Fuckin Rockstar" blends heavy-metal guitar with boom-bap percussion, showcasing the lyrical talents of Fredro Starr and New York rapper SKyzoo. While the duo of Sticky Fingaz and Fredro Star has been in the game for well over fifteen years, it seems as if they haven't quite lost a step, and continue to bring that same energy they once laid down on hits like "Slam!"

For this new Black Rock single, the duo enlisted the slept on talents of Skyzoo, who has managed to keep the old-school sound alive. In an interview with XXL, Fredro explains how they linked up with the Brooklyn emcee, stating ""We linked with Skyzoo after we heard the song 'Bamboo' on his Peddler Themes EP; he was basically paying homage to [my] character in the movie Strapped."

Quotable Lyrics
