Here’s a terribly sad story to report. According to various reports, Northwestern women’s basketball player, Jordan Hankins was found dead in her dorm room at the university earlier this week.
Reports at first didn’t know the cause of her death, but Cook County medical examiner say Hankins committed suicide by hanging herself in her dorm room.
Women’s basketball coach Joe McKeown has canceled Northwestern’s game against Minnesota on Wednesday and called the Indianapolis sophomore a “remarkably dynamic young woman,” adding that her death is a “devastating loss for our basketball family,” the Daily News reports.
She was 19 years young. R.I.P.
