Noname has been on a tear of late, with her stellar album Room 25 garnering acclaim across the board. Likewise for both Saba and Smino, who dropped a pair of excellent albums in their own right, Care For Me, and Noir, respectively. With talk of a collaborative project brewing, the trio hit up Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show to bless the audience with a rendition of "Ace," one of Room 25's notable highlights.

Off the bat, it's clear the performance is going to be a refreshing one. For starters, the backing track is non-invasive, allowing song-starter Smino to kick things off with some raw vocals. As the band puts in work behind them, Noname holds it down with an excellent verse, showcasing an understated yet lively stage presence; there's a strong case to be made that she belongs in the upper-echelon of flow. Saba comes through with the finisher, his sheer dynamism drawing applause from the audience. Overall, it's a whole lot of talent on one stage, and a hopeful sign of things to come.
