She is rewarding herself & her fans for selling out shows.
Noname has received great approval rates this past year with the release of her second studio album. While Room 25 served as an expansion of the narrative explored in Telefone, it established the young rapper as one of the top independent artists rising out of Chicago.
The lyricist is already on her way to claiming victory over 2019 as she plans the release of new music.
After announcing tour dates in support of her critically acclaimed album, Noname hinted at the release of a new song via Twitter. The artist posted a picture of herself with a quick note that read, "I think I'm gonna put out a song soon." Her fans were ecstatic, including Brockhampton's Dom Mclennon. Noname finally came through with the drop date by retweeting the original post and writing, "1.1.2019." The female emcee is excited about the new joint. "Critics love Room 25. Fans love Telefone. I love my new shit."
This announcement comes after the promise of dropping new music if her Chicago concerts managed to sell out:" ONLY 50 TICKETS LEFT FOR NYE SHOW IN CHICAGO!!! (looks like I'm dropping a song lol)." Her shows are steadily filling up, so homegirl knew what she was doing with that promise. Check out her tour date below.
