Noah Cyrus, the 17-year-old younger sister of Miley Cyrus quietly released "Again," a new collaboration with XXXTentacion Friday. While Cyrus has yet to acknowledge the release, there has been a strong reaction to the singer's decision to work with XXX on the track. The South Florida rapper has been accused of domestic abuse, with disturbing details of the alleged assaults of his ex-girlfriend being made public via a testimony from the victim obtained by Pitchfork earlier this month. Whether it be fans of Cyrus or those questioning the promotion of an alleged abuser, people are confused as to how the single got the green light. While XXX shared a post announcing the collaboration, Cyrus' social media has been strangely quiet since.

Noah is not the first Cyrus to find herself involved in controversy. Her older sister, Miley, was criticized for cultural appropriation in 2013, when she released the video for "We Can't Stop." After working with Mike WiLL Made It, Future, and French Montana on 2013's Bangerz, Miley criticized hip-hop for misogyny and materialism in an interview with Billboard this year. "That’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little," she said. "It was too much “Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my cock” -- I am so not that." The comments were once again met with backlash.

So far Noah Cyrus' team has not commented on the song itself or the criticism. As far as we know, the song is expected to appear on Cyrus' debut album NC-17.
