In celebration of Serena Williams' return to Grand Slam tennis competition at the French Open, Nike has plans to release a special edition Nike Blazer Mid, featuring Serena's "SW" branding.
The limited edition Blazers are built on an all-white colorway made up of a scaly material, accompanied by a pebbled leather Nike Swoosh and eyelets, as well as white satin ribbon laces that are covered with black "SW" logos. The kicks will be available on Thursday, May 24 at a special pop-up location in Paris, and in North America via Nike SNKRS and select Nike retailers for $120.
Serena, a three-time French Open champion, has not played in a major since giving birth to her daughter in September. According to ESPN, she was ranked #1 in the sport when she left the tour to give birth, but is currently ranked #453. She'll enter the French Open unseeded, which means she could face several highly ranked players in the early rounds.
