The Nike Kobe 1 Protro will be hitting retailers in another OG colorway next week to coincide with the release of Kobe Bryant's new book, "The Mamba Mentality: How I Play."
The "Purple Reign" Kobe 1 Protro takes design cues from the Los Angeles Lakers' color scheme, featuring a purple and black upper accompanied by gold detailing and hits of white throughout.
In speaking about the Nike Kobe 1 Protro, the Black Mamba says,
“Protro is about evolution and improving on things that were,” says Bryant. “I wanted to build a business that wasn’t just based on things I have done in the past. It is important that the brand stands for performance and that everything we do is innovative, even if we are releasing shoes from the past they still must be built on performance.”
The kicks, featuring full-length Zoom Air, will be available on October 23, the same day as Kobe's new book.
