Now that Nike has finished dropping their winterized Air Force 1s, so even though its still very much wintertime, the Swoosh has begun rolling out lighter versions of the classic shoe. The Air Force 1 Ultra Force Mid (that’s a mouthful) is debuting in January in two colors, gym red and black.
The silhouette ditches the Air Force 1 strap in favor of a one piece bootie/sock made of a mesh material. The material extends through the side panels of the shoe, but the Swoosh, heel and toe retain a classic leather look. The sole looks to be a classic chunky Air Force 1 sole, but uses Nike’s new Ultra technology to make it much lighter than the original. The upper features reflective heel and tongue tabs to easy take the shoe off.
The official release date for these two pairs of kicks is January 5. Both will retail for $110. Is that the right price for you to cop these?
