Today Nike has introduced the newest Kobe Bryant sneaker silhouette, the Kobe A.D. NXT, which features a flyknit upper and a unique shroud covering the innovative lacing structure.

The Kobe A.D.NXT, designed by Kobe in collaboration with long time Kobe-Collaborator and Nike Senior designer, Eric Avar, was conceptualized and brought to life as a ‚Äúrebirth‚ÄĚ given it has an unconventional lacing system and entry mimicking a clam shell.¬†

‚ÄúThe updates we've made to Kobe's line demonstrate¬†a new way of thinking about performance design,‚ÄĚ says¬†Avar.¬†

The Flyknit design is woven in a circular pattern as another symbol of a lotus flower representing ‚Äúrebirth‚ÄĚ in a traditional Hindu or Buddhist ideologies. Additionally, the shoe features a drop-in insole that integrates seamlessly with the outsole.

Per Nike,

"Other embellishments on the shoe include¬†secret Kobe codes (a regular feature¬†on¬†his shoes). On the laterial side, the code translates to ‚Äúunhinge‚ÄĚ (defined here as disrupting the normal operation), whereas on the medial side¬†the code relays the thought,¬†"end and begin.‚ÄĚ"

The Kobe A.D. NXT launches globally on Monday, April 3rd in both grey and volt colorways, for the retail price of $200.
