Nike and Adidas have been in a neck and neck battle for sneaker supremacy over the last few years. Thanks to the Adidas UltraBoost and the addition of Kanye West to the roster, Adidas started to dominate, but now it appears that Nike is right back in the driver's seat. According to new information from NPD Group, the top 10 selling sneakers of 2018 contained seven entries from Nike. At the top of the list was the Nike Tanjun, with Adidas' only entry being the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2.

  1. Nike Tanjun
  2. Nike Air Max 270
  3. Converse Chuck Taylor Low
  4. Air Jordan XI
  5. Nike Air Huarache
  6. Vans Ward
  7. Nike Revolution 4
  8. Nike Flex Contact
  9. adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2
  10. Nike Air Force 1 Low

Other notable sneakers on the list were the Nike Air Max 270, Air Jordan 11 and the Vans Ward. One important thing to note about all of this is the fact that the top 10 was based on monetary sales and not units sold.

The list shows that Nike had a pretty great 2018 and that Adidas is lagging behind a bit. It's interesting to see that neither the UltraBoost, nor NMD made it onto the list. The addition of the Air Jordan 11 makes sense though as the "Concord" was one of the biggest releases of the year.
