In celebration of "Mamba Day" on Friday, April 13, Nike has several special edition sneakers planned in honor of the two-year anniversary of Kobe Bryant's final game. In addition to the black and gold Nike Kobe Protro 1, Nike Basketball will also release two colorful "Mamba Mentality" renditions of Kyrie Irving's and Paul George's signature sneakers.
The "Mamba Mentality" Nike Kyrie 4 is built on a black upper accompanied by a colorful, eye-catching graphic that draws on inspiration from the Kobe 5 “Prelude” including the sneaker's mint outsole, as well as a purple heel clip with Irving's "all-seeing eye" logo.
The "Mamba Mentality" Nike PG2 is inspired by the Kobe 6 "Prelude," and features a "Purple Venom" colorway along with some graphics inspired by Paul George's favorite off-court hobbies.
Both of the shoes will be releasing alongside the Nike Kobe Protro 1 on "Mamba Day," April 13th. The Kyrie 4 will retail for $120, the PG2 for $110.
