For Nike Air Max heads, March is known as the month in which we celebrate Air Max Day which is typically on March 26th. It's supposed to be a day to unveil the newest Air Max, while also dropping new and unique colorways for some of the most classic Air Max models and silhouettes.

In a new report from trusted sneaker Twitter page @py_rates, it seems as though the Beaverton brand will be releasing a followup to the Nike Air Max 90 "Moon Landing," with a "Mars Landing" version.

The colorway, which is rumored to release on March 16th, has an orange/red upper with black craters throughout, which really shows off the Mars aesthetic. When Nike dropped the "Moon Landing" version, sneakerheads were chomping at the bit for a chance to purchase, so these "Mars Landing" kicks will probably have the same effect on the culture.

For now, these are just a rumor and have not been confirmed by Nike. Having said that, there is no price associated with this shoe just yet. There is also no word on whether or not these will be limited.

Are you feeling these Mars-inspired sneakers?
