After two No. 1 albums (and one No. 2), Nicki Minaj is tired of people questioning her rapping abilities. "To undermine my skill & diversity as an MC is actually comical @ this point," Minaj wrote on Twitter in response to people who suggested that her success was not directly related to her musical talent.

The Pinkprint rapper began her outburst after seeing the Twitter account for the gossip site Bossip retweeting some opinions that she found offensive. Bossip had asked its followers, "Why aren't there more mainstream female rappers?," and many of the responses discredited the success of the world's premier female mainstream rapper, Nicki Minaj.

"I saw Bossip retweeting ignorance so I figured I'd put that out there. Lol. The greats give me my respect. The great journalists as well," Nicki tweeted, after explaining that she's "gone toe to toe w/ every one of your favorite male MC's."

She then pointed out how she's been on tracks with rappers such as Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Kanye West, and Eminem and held her own in each instance. She feels that any male rapper capable of such accomplishments would never have his greatness questioned.

Certain naysayers suggested that Nicki's body, and specifically, her booty, is the main reason she's so famous, which prompted her to respond by asking if male rappers are "only successful cuz they have a big bulge?"
