Nicki Minaj hits a major milestone.
Nicki Minaj has been one of the dominant female voices in hip-hop for some time now and she's got the stats to back it up.
The emcee took to her personal Instagram page to celebrate a major music milestone that she's hit: "You Da Baddest" will become her 80th Billboard Hot 100 chart entry, debuting at No. 38. Her hit collab with Yo Gotti, "Rake It Up," is currently her highest-charting single at No. 26, while her Jason Derulo team-up "Swalla" continues to stay inside the Hot 100 20 weeks after its release.
Nicki wasn't shy about listing those accomplishments either. In the caption to the photo she shared on social media, Minaj boasted about her status in the hip-hop world. "3 songs on the Hot 100 no album out? *my monster voice*. Swalla up here 20 weeks later? ð RIU 26 w/no video? ðð (it's coming in a few more days, no need to send Gotti anymore death threats ð¤¦ð½âï¸)," she said. Bursting onto the scene in a big way when she guested on Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and then proceeded to consistently put out hit records for most of this decade.
She also continues to tease new collabs via her studio pictures, a venue where she was most recently photographed with Wizkid. No official word on whether or not she's got a track coming where he'll be featured, but based on her track record with her singles, it should be a tantalizing prospect for him.
