We debuted Nick Grant on HotNewHipHop just last week, and we’ve already got another cut from his upcoming ’88 mixtape (dropping tomorrow). “Class Act” features fellow Atlanta native Young Dro closing out the track with a verse. Both artist absolutely go in on the instrumental.
The beat features snapping snares and a simple bass line, but its carried by an excellent vocal sample that’s looped and slowed down throughout the whole track. It’s a sparse beat overall, allowing both vocalists to shine. Grant is something different from Atlanta, and he gets a valuable co-sign from the venerable Young Dro. Considering his last track "Royalty (Remix)" featured Big K.R.I.T. and Killer Mike, it's probably time to start paying attention.
