Nick Cannon, out of all people, was targetted earlier today by Kanye West for suggesting that Drake and Kim Kardashian may have had a fling at some point in time. While Kim went on to deny that it ever happened, Kanye West made it clear that he isn't playing with anyone who's keeping his wife's name in their mouth. Now, Cannon has responded to Kanye West in an incredibly diplomatic manner.
After Kanye West issued a warning to both Nick Cannon and Drake today over Kim Kardashian, Cannon has officially responded on Instagram. He explained that he has love for 'Ye but feels like he never actually disrespected Kim.
"First off, let me say welcome back 'Ye from the sunken place. It's a beautiful thing. Glad you back with us brother. Nothing but love and respect for you," he said. "I honestly gotta say this, my dude. I've never said anything disrespectful or harmful to your, in my opinion, to your marriage or your marriage or your union... But you not gonna tell me what I can and can't say. I'm a solid individual. Somebody ask me a question, I'mma answer it to the best of my ability. I'mma give my opinion."
He added, "I know if it got your spirit feelin' weird, holla at me. You know where I'm at... 'Cause a man's spirit is free but you know, pride binds it at times."
In an attempt to extend the olive branch, Nick Cannon also invited Kanye West to join him for the 200th episode of Wild N' Out.
