The hashtag #NYCStripperStrike has picked up steam over the course of the last 48 hours, where ladies working in this vocation in the Big Apple are looking to take a bit out of two big issues that continue to plague many of them.

According to a report from Bossip, many strippers in the New York City area are banding together in order to take action against those who are supposedly screwing them out of a ton of money, especially in the case of African-American women. Apparently, bartenders are taking some of the attention away from those who do the dancing in strip clubs because of their own revealing outfits. Some are claiming that customers will make it rain in their direction, thinking they are in fact the strippers, instead of tipping those who are actually working in that role. Furthermore, even when clients do tip the strippers, the wait staff are legit stealing some of their hard-earned money. Check out an example of this strategy in the video below.

There are also reports of rampant racial discrimination within the world of female strippers, specifically in the New York City landscape. Even Cardi B spoke about the difference that skin color makes in that line of work. Check out what she has to say below.

A well-known NYC music personality, DJ Kay Slay, has even weighed in on the situation. "I see the ladies beefing in NY Now, Dancers vs the Bartenders. Smh... We all have to just face the fact that it's a new day" he wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption. "Customers like new s**t everything changes, so now it's a matter of dancers and bartenders having to get their fans to come spend money on them in order to eat, fair is fair I get that also." He also weighed in on the discrimination issue saying the following:

"What I do understand and acknowledge is that there is RACISM against black woman in most of these NY strip clubs! It has been going on for a while now it didn't just start? At some of my events when it's celebrities in the VIP I have to grab the black women by their hands and pull them into VIP. My last event this security clown would not let a black dancer in VIP, I told him it's my event let her up there , this fool told me no, I told him you getting paid tonight because of me let her up, he still shook his head, Now we was about to get on his skull , but I wasn't about to fuk up my own event, so I had to get a manager to check his dumb ass, then I removed his stupid ass from his post!!"
