Janet Van Dyne’s costume gets a first look.
Marvel is gearing up to release their 20th Avengers themed film. Ant-Man and The Wasp is a sequel that aims to take the solo adventures of the tiny hero and evolve them into a duo crime fighting flick. In the comics, Ant-Man and The Wasp are founding members of the Avengers, and The Wasp even created the name for the superhero team. Marvel studios decided to stick with their less obscure heroes (Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, etc.) for the first Avengers film though, and didn't bring Ant-Man into the fold until after the second Avengers film was already released.
With the release of Ant-Man and The Wasp right around the corner, Marvel has their foot on the gas when it comes to promotion and marketing. New character posters have been released, and they give fans their best look at the cast of the film. Janet Van Dyne, who is played by Michelle Pfeiffer, is on full display, and the design of her costume can be seen for the first time (although it is somewhat hidden). Janet became lost in the Quantum Realm when she shrunk down to a size so small that space and time do not exist. In Ant-Man and The Wasp, Scott Lang (Ant-Man) and Hope Van Dyne (Wasp) go searching for the lost hero, decades after her disappearance, while also being forced to battle a new villain named Ghost. Check out the character posters below.
