Netflix has officially announced on Twitter that they will be renewing their hit series 13 Reasons Why for another season.

The news comes three weeks after its second season premiered on the streaming service on May 18. The upcoming addition to the wildly popular series will consist of thirteen episodes, with production beginning later this year.

Season two effectively detailed the aftermath of Hannah's death, which witnessed Liberty High prepare to go on trial. However, an anonymous individual would stop at nothing to keep the truth behind Hannah's death from being concealed, as a serious of dismal polaroids led Clay and his fellow cohorts to uncover a demented secret.

While season one was based off the novel of the same name by Jay Asher, the proceeding set of episodes is based off an original story created by the show's writers.
