"ReMastered" explores the events surrounding the untimely deaths of high-profile artists.
Netflix has announced the impending arrival of a new documentary series entitled ReMastered. The 8-part production, set for a global launch on December 7, is described as an investigation of "high-profile events affecting some of the most legendary names in music, presenting groundbreaking discoveries and insights beyond what’s been previously reported."
The first trailer of the series deals with one of Hip Hop's most iconic DJs, Jam Master Jay from Run-D.M.C.. It shows clips of his loved ones and associates commenting on his unsolved murder. One man could be heard saying that the witnesses were either "scared or hiding something." The artist was gunned down in Jamaica, Queens, during a studio session. Although people were present at the time of his murder, the investigation bore no tangible results for lack of evidence caused by odd circumstances, including tampered security cameras.
