After NBA Youngboy was arrested in Florida over the weekend due to outstanding warrants in his name, footage has surfaced of a man, allegedly the 19-year old rapper, getting physical with a woman in the hallway of a hotel in Waycross, Georgia.
In the footage, obtained by TMZ, the rapper can be seen throwing his girlfriend, Jania, to the ground just hours before his arrest. At certain points, it seems as though she is attempting to evade the Baton Rouge artist before he violently pulls her back. Sources told the publication that guests reported the incident to hotel managment, who then alerted the authorities.
Before police officers arrived, Youngboy and his girlfriend already left the scene. However, video footage and the presence of blood in the room in which they were staying led authorities to issue a search warrant for the rapper, born Kentrell Desean Gaulden. He was scheduled to perform at The Moon nightclub in Tallahassee, Florida where he was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant. While there is yet no confirmation, it is very possible that the search warrant issued in Georgia was what alerted police to Youngboy being in Tallahassee. Currently, the "No Smoke" emcee is slated to appear in court on Monday on charges connected to assault, kidnappings, and weapons violations.
Neither of these instances are the first for NBA Youngboy as it was back in 2016 that he was arrested in connection to a series of shootings in his native Baton Rouge. Previously, he also made headlines for allegedly kicking his girlfriend out of a hotel room and forcing her to sleep in the hotel lobby overnight.
