Despite taking a long leave of absence from the rap game, Nappy Roots have been back in a big way in 2014. Most recently, they've kick-started their #somethingsgottagive series, which see them dropping new music every Friday leading to their new album, The 40 Akerz Project.
After hitting us with "HAZY" and "40 Intro" the group return today with "DeepEnd", a collaboration with Scotty ATL. Rapping over a pretty basic but effective sample, Nappy Roots bring their Southern charisma in full force.
The new record is expected to drop in the first quarter of 2015. We'll keep you posted on any announcements concerning an official release date.
