Rest in peace to the lives lost in Nashville today.
Sad news comes from Nashville, Tennessee today after a man walked into a Waffle Hosue naked and opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle. BBC reports that four were killed while two others were injured. The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Travis Reinking who got away on foot after James Shaw wrestled the weapon out of his hands. The victims have yet to have been identified.
"I remember I was like 'Dang, I'm basically in a barrel'," James said of the event. "There is no place for me to go. I... remember thinking that he is going to have to work for this kill," he continued. "I had a chance to stop him and thankfully I stopped him. I grabbed the gun and kept it down. He had one hand on it. I pulled it away and threw it over the bar."
James found himself in the hospital since he was grazed by a bullet himself. "While I was in hospital, a girl that was there said you saved my life," he said. "I didn’t do it to be hero."
