One of the most surprising additions to The Life of Pablo was a straight acapella track titled "I Love Kanye." The gift of untouched Kanye vocals has not gone unnoticed by many top producers, who have tried their best to add instrumentals underneath Kanye's third-person raps. Earlier today, DJ Premier placed Ye atop one of his signature boom-bap beats, and now a younger production whiz has stepped up: Murda Beatz.
For those who know Murda, he delivers what you'd expect: a club banger. The dark, brooding production gives an entirely different feel to Kanye's words, sounding even more authoritative than before. The result is a nice remix that DJs would be smart to work in as a surprise during peak hours of the party.
We just heard a snippet of a collaboration between Kanye and Migos. Perhaps it's time for him to link with one of the group's favorite young producers.
