If you haven't heard of eMC, you may have heard of one or more the group's reputable MCs: Masta Ace, Stricklin, and Wordsworth. The trio (formerly a quartet until Punchline left in October 2014) dropped their debut project The Show in 2008, took a 6-year hiatus, dropped The Turning Point EP in 2014, and are now gearing up for the release of their second studio album The Tonite Show.
In "Moopie," one of the album's three advance releases, eMC and special guest Sadat X take turns going off on their pet peeve -- the moopie. They urge their male fans to be just that: a fan and never a moopie. The chorus goes like this:
"What's a moopie? Stupid, a male groupie. ODing, touching, and talking after the show. Want to hang and run around with the gang? Asking all these questions, yes, the answer is 'no.'"
