The Minnesota Timberwolves are bringing back one of the greatest uniforms of all-time next season in celebration of the franchise's 30th season. The Timberwolves unveiled the new "Classic Edition" uniforms today, which will celebrate the team’s heritage in honor of their 30th season and feature the same uniform design that the team wore from 1996-2008.

The uniforms, looking just as they did when Kevin Garnett, Wally Szczerbiak, Latrell Sprewell and Sam Cassell were still balling, feature black jerseys and shorts with a green tree trim. According to the Timberwolves press release, the new uniform will only be worn for a total of five games, starting with their Halloween matchup against the Utah Jazz at the Target Center.

The "Classic Edition" uniforms will also be worn for the following four games throughout the season: December 3 vs. Houston Rockets, January 4 vs. Orlando Magic, March 5 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder and April 9 vs. Toronto Raptors. The team also unveiled the 30th season logo that will appear on creative elements and merchandise throughout the season.

Last year, the Timberwolves finished 47-35 (their best record since 2003-04) and made it to the playoffs for the first time since that 03-04 season, when they reached the Western Conference Finals. Minnesota will open up the 2018-19 campaign on the road in San Antonio on October 17.
