Even if you don't recognize his face or his name, you've undoubtedly heard something that Mike Dean has made. Southern rap devotees have heard his work on albums by Scarface, Z-Ro, UGK and many others, and the rest of humanity has heard him in some capacity on every Kanye West album since Graduation. He's currently involved in finishing SWISH with West, and during a recent interview with Montreality, he spoke on the album's status.
"Whenever Kanye says it's done, it's done," Dean said, adding that he was about to go into the studio with West again to "finish up" the record. Elsewhere, he takes time to share stories about Nate Dogg and Pimp C, and explain why he's not the biggest fan of the KanyeToThe forum.
