The Migos just announced an upcoming mixtapeNo Label 3, and just like that, the trio has dropped off a gift in the form of a collab with Honorable C-Note. Seeing those names together on paper, one would expect nothing short of a banger, and while "Say Sum" is just that, it's a surprisingly melodic and romantic effort, verging on R&B. As Quavo continues to develop his singing chops, there's really no limit to his starpower.

Both Takeoff and Offset cool down their usual blistering flows as they each use nuanced storytelling to describe encounters with unusually bad females. The beat is driven by lush synth textures, but C-Note keeps a rumbling bass in the background along with slick 808s to ensure that the trap isn't totally out of the picture.

If "Say Sum" is indicative of the quality of No Label 3, then the upcoming project will be a worthy follow-up to January's YRN 2, one of the best tapes of the year.

Quotable Lyrics

Thinkin' bout rollin' a blunt or two
Cuz I thought I'd smoke sum
And she wanna smoke too
We can take vacation
Open your eyes and land on the moon
Girl you standin' right there lookin' so amazin'

- Quavo
