The new video is a partnership with the MLB.
Last month, the Migos came through with a new pump-up record after dropping "Hot Summer" with DJ Durel. The three members of the group had rarely collaborated as a trio since Culture II earlier in the year, opting to perform guest features or a solo career in Quavo's case. Currently on tour with Drake, Migos have a busy schedule but it doesn't mean they don't have time to get together for a new partnership with the MLB. Last week, Quavo showed off his perfect curveball so it was only right for the group to link up with Major League Baseball for their new music video, "Is You Ready."
As the postseason nears, Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset are teaming up with the MLB to hype up the upcoming playoff games. And is there a better way to hype people up than with the Migos, arguably the most energetic group of the last few years? The video premiere was through Vibe, to which Offset explained the collaboration: "I like when music and sports collide because we all grew up on both. A lot of MLB players use our songs for their walk-up music, so this collab will get them amped."
The song was originally used for Mark Wahlberg's Mile 22 film with it now being repurposed for advertisements and television spots. Check it out above.
