The Michael Jackson Lifetime movie premiered last night and, as you might expect, Twitter had a field day with it.

First, the film is called Michael Jackson: Searching For Neverland and focuses on the final two years of the icon's life. Here's the trailer:

Well-known MJ impersonator Navi was on hand to play the eponymous pop star and he seemed to look and dance the part.

However, once the movie started, the deluge of scorn from the Twitter-verse rained down from the heavens, where Michael was probably sitting and shaking his head too.

Star Wars vet J.J. Abrams will reportedly executive produce Warner Bros. TV's adaptation of Tavis Smiley's forthcoming book Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson's Last Days. Maybe that will see a better fate in terms of fan reaction.
