Michael J. Fox, aka Marty McFly himself, appeared on Good Morning America today and as you'd expect he was rocking the newly unveiled, self-lacing Nike Mag.
Fox spoke about the iconic history of the sneakers as well as how the sale of the Nike Mags will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Yesterday Nike officially opened up their raffle for the highly coveted Nike Mag, which will be limited to just 89 pairs. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets ($10 a pop) will go directly to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, so even if you aren't one of the lucky 89, at least your $10 (or however much you decide to spend) will be going towards a great cause.
As Fox noted in the interview, the 2011 auction raised over $10 million and although there are less pairs up for grabs this time, we hope that the unique raffle system will help generate something in that ballpark.
