The difference in significance is that the man in question was none other than Chicago Cubs player Wilson Contreras, who seemed to be trying to use Khalifa's sports fanaticism as a way to her heart. However, she was having none of it, sharing screeencaps of the DM's on Twitter and inciting a barrage of social media jokes and memes. To be fair, Contreras didn't say anything inappropriate, but a spokesperson for Octagon Baseball, the agency that represents the ball player, claimed that his "twitter account was hacked."
