Back in March, M.I.A. dropped a new song out of the blue called "CanSeeCanDo" that didn't appear to be linked to any specific project. Having not released any full-lengths since 2013's Matangi, the indie singer/rapper has now announced a mixtape-- her first since 2010's Vicki Leekx-- via her Instagram.
Sharing a press release that she also apparently sent to her label, M.I.A. revealed the the "tape" would only be three songs and 12 minutes long, and would arrive with an accompanying short film. She described the project as "a journey around the planet." Check out the Instagram post in question below.
