Meghan Markle's nephew is making a strain named after the family.
Meghan Markle hasn’t spoken to Tyler Dooley in three years, but that isn’t stopping the 25-year old Dooley from creating a strain of weed and naming it after his aunt.
Based in Grant’s Pass, Oregon, Dooley is a cannabis grower currently crafting a hybrid strain of weed called Markle’s Sparkle to celebrate her forthcoming wedding in which she will tie the knot with Prince Harry. Despite the gap in their relationship, Dooley is assured that Markle, who used to babysit him as a child, would be more than accepting of the gesture.
"Meghan grew up in California and I am sure has an American view on pot," he said.
He continued: "I know in England that marijuana is still a taboo subject but it’s more normal to us here because we grew up around it in high school. Everybody experiments with it here."
Dooley, who is the son of Meghan’s estranged older half-brother Thomas, is not currently invited to the Royal Wedding—much like a good chunk of Markle’s extended family. Nonetheless, Tyler isn’t holding any hard feelings against the bride-to-be and her future husband.
“I’d be happy to show them around if they ever come out here and educate them on the medicinal benefits of marijuana which helps everything from post-traumatic stress syndrome to insomnia to pain in cancer patients,” he said.
