Megan Thee Stallion had an incredible rise to fame in the last year. From becoming one of the hottest new rappers out of Houston to blowing up on an international scale, she's been celebrating many wins in the past 12 months alone. However, she faced a devastating loss as her career began to blow up. Her mother Holly passed away just as she began to break into the mainstream and today would mark her mother's birthday. Meg hit the 'Gram where she penned a heartfelt tribute to her mother.

"Happy birthday mama 💛💛💛 I miss you everyday ! I know you’re watching over me rooting for me and keeping me going. I don’t have you physically here telling me what I should do so I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own remembering all the advice and lessons you’ve taught me before. You are such a strong woman and I promise to make you proud and be one too! We love you Holly !"

Fresh off of the release of the "Savage" remix, Megan Thee Stallion hit the 'Gram after the single dropped and explained that the collab not only means a lot because she collabed with one of her idols, but because her mother was the one that put her onto Beyonce. "My mama was like a really huge fan of Beyonce. She used to make me watch a lot of Beyonce stuff," she explained.
