These days, everybody is repping the "Free Meek" movement with a pride generally reserved for athletic franchises. While it's been well documented that Meek Mill's incarceration went down under dubious circumstances, the support he's been receiving is undoubtedly cause for optimism. On Tuesday, the Wins & Losses rapper found himself in some pleasant company, after being visited by 76ers owner Michael Rubin and Patriots owner Robert Kraft. The pair reportedly blessed Meek with some words of encouragement, and marveled at the fortitude of his spirit. Now, the parade of prominent Meek supporters continues, and this time, a politician has entered the mix.

TMZ reports that Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney was spotted leaving Meek's prison earlier this morning, alongside the aforementioned Micheal Rubin, a frequent visitor. A spokesperson from the Mayor revealed that Rubin invited Kenney to sit down with the rapper; apparently, the conversation lasted for about an hour. In a statement to the publication, it seems as if the Mayor Kenney believes  Meek's circumstances "makes clear and urgent the desperate need to continue working with our partners to reform our criminal justice system."

Still, it would appear that Judge Genece Brinkley remains unwavering in her assessment. She seems to truly believe that Meek is better suited behind bars, despite the fact that the majority of people from all walks of life consider her verdict to be a farce. Still, there are those who hold out hope that the MMG rapper will be back on the streets sooner rather than later. Only time will tell.
