This week in hip-hop a fallen angel by the name of Meek Mill made the most of his recommencement speech. He wasn't alone in breaking new ground. Over in Atlanta, JID had given us every indication he would bring the "fight" to his opponent, and he did just that, by taking the shadow-effect of Dicaprio 1 and drawing over it.
And then there's the case of a gluttonous Lil Baby dropping all his loose ends before he moves onto next. There certainly wasn't any need for Lil Baby to drop a project so close to the last one, but who are we to blow against a wind fall? "Ready" featuring his comrade Gunna made our FIRE EMOJI playlist - so did his appearance on Tekashi 6ix9ine's "Tic Toc," a song literally made in his image.
The over-and-under wager placed on Tory Lanez carried over to this week. The clean version of his "Talk to Me" remix featuring Lil Wayne leaked last Sunday, only to surface in a more desirable state several days late. Fans who were initially bothered by the wait changed their tune, once they heard the revised version. There was never any doubt regarding its inclusion this week.
