Many people rejoiced Meek Mill's release from prison but the rapper is still fighting for a new trial. Since his release, the rapper didn't release any new music until this past weekend, when he premiered his new single, "Stay Woke" ft. Miguel at the BET Awards. Everyone's waiting for his follow-up to Wins And Losses, especially after everything's he's been through. Thankfully, Jahlil Beats has given us an update on new Meek Mill music and it looks like he got a little bit of everything for his fans.
Jahlil Beats and Meek have been working together for 10 years at this point and it's hard to think of another producer that Meek works this well with. Speaking to HipHopDX, Jahlil revealed that he's been locking in a lot of studio time with Meek Mill over the past few months.
“We in the studio heavy,” Jahlil said. “So we were just in Orlando a few weeks ago, just working on just music, man. We back at it, and this is a beautiful day.”
Jahlil revealed that they do have a lot of records in the cut but they're waiting for the right time to drop them.
“We linked up and then we went to a fashion show where we got to rap for a little bit,” he says. “And then as of that, we linked up in the studio a couple weeks ago. We have records. We definitely have records. It’s just a matter of time and when it’s gonna come out, but we definitely have records."
He continued, "We have some big radio records. We got some stuff for the club and we got some stuff for the streets.”
