Listening to Tee Grizzley's "First Day Out" for the first time, it's hard not to compare the dynamics to Meek Mill's classic "Dreams & Nightmares" intro. The two rappers also share emotional and energetic voices, and we may get to hear how they compliment one another very soon.
The two emcees got in the studio together over the weekend, playing each other some new music and possibly collaborating. Evidence of the meetup made it onto their Instagram stories. Whether or not the session produced any new tracks, the songs we heard are very promising. Producer Infamous Rell confirmed that he had produced one of Meek's previewed tracks on Twitter, and also confirmed he had music with Tee Grizzley.
Tee Grizzley released My Moment, one of the strongest projects of 2017, in April. Meanwhile, Meek is preparing his Wins & Losses album for release later this year. Just a few days ago Meek previewed a melodic new track that could appear on the upcoming LP.
