The Outfit, Tx link up with Maxo Kream for "By My Lonely."

The Outfit, Texas and Maxo Kream have made it work before. Although both The Outfit and Maxo are known to carry heavy entourages, it's "By My Lonely" that speaks more profoundly of the moment where "the high wears off" or the "lights shut off." Outlaw Mel, the main speaker in the three man outfit, is in his element rapping his disquieting muses. Mel speaks of drug use in manner that doesn't glamorize or condescend. What he speaks is simply a facet of his life. It's not hard to read between the lines.

The smokey rendition also brings out the best in Maxo Kream. his last mixtape Punken, his first in two years, came out in January to glowing reviews. As always, Maxo Kream's ability to describe things in fiber optic detail makes his music all the more gripping. Check out "By My Lonely," it may turn you on to something you haven't heard, or at least reignite an interest in the oh so consistent Texas rap scene.

Quotable Lyrics:

smokin'
cheefin'
diesel steamin'
codeine leanin'
purple potion
spoken like a locomotive
