The 95 year-old comic book legend is feeling the pangs of old age.
Stan Lee, the maestro behind the various strands of Marvel superhero comic books was recently rushed to the hospital, according to TMZ. The website reports how Lee was taken to Cedars-Sinai Wednesday night after experiencing an irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath. Sources close to Lee have revealed to TMZ that he is still receiving medical care at the hospital, but is in stable condition. A spokesperson for the Marvel creator eventually issued a public statement that states Lee "is doing well and feeling good, he is staying there for a few days for some check ups as a safety precaution."
Last year, Lee had cancelled two major convention appearances after succumbing to an illness, which he and his representatives refused to elucidate.
Just recently, Lee became yet another man of power to be accused of sexual harassment and other questionable behaviour. The 95 year-old is said to have groped and engaged in other devious behaviour with his personal care nurses that routinely visit Lee. He is accused of asking his employees to perform oral sex on him, all while walking around in the nude and making lewd remarks.
A lawyer representing Lee has vehemently denied these allegations.
