Marvel Alexander is a 27 year old New Jersey rapper. He’s been on the come up of late, rapping on a variety of beats and experimenting with different sounds. Today he’s in rare form on the very dope “These Niggas Lying.” The cover art is pretty damn funny as well.
The song is produced by fellow Modern Outfit signee Hovey Benjamin, and features a simple keyboard melody over booming bass and a few trap snares. Alexander raps about other emcees and celebrities who inflate their success, causing people to have unrealistic expectations for themselves and others. He doesn’t use those words, though.
The song may be appearing on Marvel Alexander’s upcoming album Mapoe in April. We’re looking forward to it.
