Marsai Martin will be making history when her most recent project enters theaters. The young actress will be starring in Little alongside Insecure's Issa Rae and Girls Trip's Regina Hall. Not only is Marsai playing a lead role within a cast full of successful figures, but the 14-year-old is also penning herself into the history books as the youngest executive producer of a Hollywood Film. The idea was inspired by Big, a Tom Hank's movie. Marsai flipped the script and pitched the idea to Black-ish Executive Producer Kenya Barris at the age of 10.

“It was one of my most favorite films growing up,” Martin told The Root. “After the Season 1 finale of Black-ish, we told Kenya Barris about it, and he called Will [Packer] and said: ‘Yo, you know the girl who plays Diane on Black-ish? She has this dope idea!’”

Though may have taken a few years for the project to materialize, the starlet hopes to inspire people across generations. “It doesn’t matter if you are four or 84, there’s no limit to what you can do,” she said. “And if you prove that you can do it, you don’t have to wait... A 13-year-old created this film and it turned out to be a wonderful, loving and fulfilling film.”
