Next week, Mariah Carey's Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse will hit shelves, with its tracklist including "Meteorite," a song co-written and produced by Q-Tip. Now, Tip has shared an entirely different version of the song with new production -- check it out.
This time around, "Meteorite" gets clip-clopping 808 percussion, a woozy keyboard line and some billowing strings, coming out seeming like a poppier, more polished version of some of the funkier tracks on Q-Tip's 2008 album, The Renaissance. Mariah's voice, as goes without saying, is phenomenal as ever, casually reaching heights that most singers only dream of.
