Coach Pep Guardiola may have a lot to celebrate, as his Manchester City team is on track to insert themselves in soccer's history books. The team is currently 12 points atop of the Premier League, with a chance to expand their margin of victory to 15 tonight after Manchester United's abysmal match against Burnley last night. Manchester City is also looking to add to their record-breaking winning streak of 17 games straight.

So far, the team has scored 60 times in their last 19 league games, averaging to about 3.15 goals per game, putting them on course to easily break the record of most goals scored in a Premier League season. Currently, Chelsea holds the honour with 103 goals scored in 36 games during the 2009/10 season. If they maintain their current rate of scoring, Manchester City may amass to 120 goals or more.

According to The Ringer, the team's success can be attributed to the fact that the team has taken some of the best shots of the season. Also, they mention how attacker Kyle Walker has been extremely productive, and note how every game that Fabian Delph has played in has resulted in a victory so far. Finally, it is concluded that Manchester City possess the ball for most of the game, making the most shots on goal with the fewest conceded shots.

Coaches and players from around Europe, including Barcelona and Munich, have been chiming in on Pep Guardiola and his team's continued successes this season, recognizing the historic season that is unfolding for Manchester City.
